The guys over at TLA just released their new Link Worth Calculator, a little tool that evaluates the cost of a link on any website. So I thought I’d mess about with it and see what happens.
A link on Visa.com would cost $810 per link per month, while a link on Mastercard.com also costs $810 per link per month. I though a link on Mastercard’s website woud be priceless (sorry, couldn’t resist).
So what about the engines? Well, the tool says I should “Fuh-get about” a link on Google.com, a link on the Yahoo.com homepage is “very funny” and MSN.com just shows a picture of Bill Gates as a Borg!
Let’s try a few of the Web 2.0 companies. A link on Digg.com (the massively popular site where people spend too much time reading and arguing over fuel cells, video games and computers) would cost a whopping $9,108 per month. TW (where all the friendly search spammers hang out) comes in at $288 per link per month, while WMW comes in at $9,108 per link per month.
What about our favourite fruit? Apple.com - priceless.

Apparrently, a link on the text-link-adds site itself, is also veeery expensive. Perhaps around “one million dollars”
